Study supplies, notebooks and tiny-desk setups from a grad student on a grad student budget.
Über Lily Zhang
Okay, hi! I'm Lily, second-year PhD student in Ann Arbor. Biochem undergrad, now living on lab hours, library hours and jasmine milk tea. My desk is a 40-inch thrift store find. Forty inches! So everything on it has to earn its spot. On this channel: notebooks, pens, lamps, desk organizers, study gear for exams and late nights. Budget-friendly, always. A pen that costs more than lunch? Nope. One notebook per subject? Yes, no contest. A good desk lamp? Best thing you can own for 1 a.m. studying. I grew up doing homework in a booth at my parents' restaurant in Grand Rapids, and I still play violin in a community orchestra. My lease bans pets, so I have a succulent named Gerald. He's thriving!
