I spent forty years as a pharmacist, first behind the counter of a small independent drugstore and later at a chain store here in Phoenix, and retired at sixty-two. People still bring me their questions. I volunteer twice a month at a community health fair, and I have looked through more shoeboxes of old pill bottles than I could count. Here I write about first aid, medical supplies, aging well and medicine cabinets. Expect a story from behind the counter, then plain advice. Check your dates. Keep medicine out of the bathroom.
