Noah Fischer

À propos de Noah Fischer

I build furniture. Solid wood. Tables meant to outlast their owners. Shop downstairs. Apartment upstairs. A converted storefront in Northeast Minneapolis. Grew up in Duluth. Watched my grandfather build wooden boats. Studied furniture making out east. Opened my own shop at twenty-seven. Here I write about furniture, wood and materials. Buying for the long term. Repairs. How to check joints before looks. What is worth fixing. Most solid chairs are. Price it per decade. The cheap stuff is rarely cheap. My grandfather's hand plane still works. So does an oak chair I pulled off a curb. Winters I camp in the Boundary Waters. Fewer words there too.
