I'm a barber in Stoneybatter, senior in the shop now, after sweeping floors on the northside at seventeen and doing a three-year apprenticeship. Thirty heads a day, so I hear every grooming question going. Here I write about men's grooming, beards, hair products and shaving, told the way I'd tell you in the chair. Expect stories from the shop, exact amounts, because pea-sized means pea-sized, lads, and a bit of slagging if you've been washing your beard with shampoo every morning. Every morning! I live in Phibsborough with Aoife and go to my mam's in Drumcondra for Sunday dinner. My two brothers still won't let me near their hair. Their loss, to be fair.
