À propos de Olivia Bennett

I rate every room by its light before I look at a single piece of furniture (touring open houses with me is a lot). I style rental apartments in Portland for landlords and property managers, after six years as a magazine production editor in Seattle, and I have never owned a home, so I treat every wall as borrowed. Here I write about renter-friendly decor, lighting, small spaces and color: three lamps at three heights, a mirror you lean instead of hang, and fixes that come off clean when the lease ends. My own place is a second-floor unit in a 1920s fourplex in Sellwood, still without a single hole in the walls. Ottoman, our retired greyhound, has opinions about the rug. Mainly that it's his.
