I'm Maya, the buyer at a vintage clothing boutique in Austin, which means I sort and price about three hundred secondhand pieces a week, which means I have opinions, a hatchback with the back seats permanently folded down, and a closet in my East Austin bungalow that is way too small. Here I write about denim fits, fabric care, capsule wardrobes and the fiber content of basically everything. New versus vintage. Stitched versus glued. What bags out by spring. I learned at my mom's church resale table in San Marcos that wear tells you what the label won't. Also: my one-eyed tabby is named Polyester. Restraint? Not here.
