I run a regional distribution warehouse by day, and by night I run a four-bedroom brick ranch in Antioch with three teenagers in it, which is honestly the harder warehouse. Tyler, Brooke and Caleb go through laundry, paper towels and dish soap like there's a prize for it. When I became a single dad eight years ago, I ran the house the way I run inventory. I'll say it plain: the price on the jug is there to fool you. Cost per load is the number. Here I write about household supplies, cleaning shortcuts, buying in bulk and laundry, with real numbers. Our old yellow Lab, Biscuit, sheds on every clean load. I asked him to help out once. He's been shedding responsibility ever since.
