Gear for youth and high-school sports on a school budget, plus a drill of the week. Safety first.
关于 Connor Walsh
Alright, huddle up. I teach PE and coach football at a public high school in Providence, eleven years now, and every season I equip forty kids on a school budget. I played linebacker at a small college in New England, so I know what gear takes a beating. Rule one: spend on safety first. Rule two: cones, pinnies and practice balls can be cheap. Here I write about team sports, gear on a budget and youth sports, with a drill of the week and stories from my linemen. At home it's Kate, Molly, baby Liam and Tank, our boxer, who shows up to every Saturday practice and has never once run a drill. Tank's on the bench. Permanently.
