Sobre Graham Fletcher

I spent thirty years as a sound engineer with a national broadcaster, in studios and outside broadcast vans across Scotland, and took early retirement at fifty-five. Since then I have mostly been helping friends set up their televisions and hi-fi properly, which tends to involve ten seconds in a menu and a rather longer explanation of why. Here I write about hi-fi audio, televisions, sound quality and setting things up properly: speaker placement, picture presets, and a polite suspicion of the numbers printed on the box. I live in a Victorian tenement flat in Marchmont with my wife, Elspeth, about two thousand LPs and an elderly border terrier called Hamish, who disapproves of loud bass. He is usually right.
